Which casinos will be affected
by the tax increase?
Only those casinos that gross
over $1 million a month in gaming revenue. There are approximately
107 such casinos, all located in only four of Nevada's 17 counties:
Clark (Las Vegas and the Strip); Douglas, which includes the
Stateline casinos at the south end of Lake Tahoe;
Elko; and Washoe (Reno-Sparks).
